My first experience operating a camera came when I was nine years old in the television studios where my father worked! A somewhat unconventional beginning, I quickly learnt to love everything about cameras, both photo and video, and spent a large part of my childhood going into work with my father to immerse myself in this wonderful world and absorb as much as I could about making high quality films and television productions.

Twenty years later, I established JDM Studios with a desire to take all I had learnt from working on professional productions and apply those same tools and techniques to capturing weddings; arguably one of the most important, memorable days of a persons life.

Photography and videography is far more than just a means to make a living for me; it is a passion. I continually strive to develop my knowledge and understanding of how the very best in their fields operate on projects large and small to see what snippets or new approaches I may be able to apply to my own projects.
